Our story

We are a dedicated team committed to playing basketball and enjoying each other.. Our focus lies in providing the right mindset and basketball skills, not only just for basketball but how to become young men. Any grant will be utilized to serve the children of Holly Grove and Clarendon Arkansas, primarily low-income families who are not able to provide for their children to have an activity outside of school that motivates them to stay out the streets with gangs and violence. We have 15 players ranging from ages 15-17, all ethnicities, and majority of the children are from low-income, single- parent homes. Our basketball program also allows the kids to work on physical activity to help fight childhood obesity. We also have a mentor to help with tutoring students/players after school with homework and healthy snacks. The grant will help my husband and I to purchase more equipments and to replace lost, stolen, and/or new uniforms. This also provides transportation to and from the sporting events for the entire team, as well as providing food (lunch/and or dinner) for the players before and after the games. Currently, my husband and I have been paying out of pocket for the community children to participate. With the rising price of food and fuel, it's getting difficult to allow all children who wants to play to participate. We don't turn away any child. Anyone who wants to play will always have a position on our team
